This part was seen work in practice. It is a published consitutive promoter (Jack et al. 2001), and we have shown it results in protein production for numerous targets (see BBa_K562009 from Dundee 2011 iGEM team for a good previous characterisation). The Dundee 2012 team found that the rookie Dundee 2011 team had make some mistakes in their original cloning of BBa_K562000, which was found not to have been cloned to Biobrick [10] standard as the correct prefix and suffix sequences were not used. BBa_K562000 is now replaced by this new Biobrick BBa_K895000.
